There’s a common misconception in business that slowing down means doing less.

For Estelle Jego - a Virtual Assistant and mentor for solopreneurs - slowing down is actually the key to doing things better, with more clarity and intention.

When Estelle reached out to me for her branding photography, she wasn’t looking for a handful of polished headshots. She wanted images that could tell a fuller story - one that reflected both the practical and the philosophical sides of her work. Her brand lives at the intersection of business structure and slow living. From technical support to mentorship, everything she offers is rooted in simplification. To capture that depth, we decided to work with my largest branding photography package, spreading the shoot across two days and two locations. This gave us the space to create imagery that felt complete, aligned, and true to her world.

Day One: The Foundations of a Focused Business

We began the shoot at the Crowne Plaza Amsterdam - a setting that naturally supported the more structured, professional side of Estelle’s brand.

This first day was about showing how she works: the focus and the quiet confidence she brings to her clients’ businesses.

Following a concept and mood board we created together, Estelle leaned into a bold yet grounded color palette of deep greens and fuchsia tones. We kept the props simple but meaningful - a well-loved notebook, her laptop, and books centred around the idea of a slower, more intentional life.

Even within a polished hotel environment, her personality came through effortlessly. The images feel professional but also show Estelle's personnality and her goofy side - a balance I always aim for in branding photography.

Day Two: The Philosophy of the Slow Entrepreneur

If the first day focused on the structure behind Estelle’s work, the second day explored the why.

We met the following morning in Erasmuspark, on a bright and peaceful Amsterdam day. This location felt like a natural extension of Estelle’s philosophy as a slow entrepreneur mentor - grounded, open, and connected to nature. Here, the imagery shifted. The office chair was replaced with a yoga mat in the grass. Her bike became part of the story, complete with a bag that quietly reminded us: Small acts change the world. These photographs weren’t about productivity in the traditional sense. They were about the kind of life Estelle encourages her clients to build - one with space, balance, and intention. One of my favourite moments was capturing her laughing under the trees, wearing a lemon-print skirt that felt both joyful and unapologetically her. Effortless. Sunny. Thoughtful. Exactly the kind of in-between moment I’m always drawn to.

Branding Photography as a Creative Partnership

For me, branding photography is never just about creating content for a website or social media. It’s about helping someone see their own brand with fresh eyes.

These two days weren’t only about images - they were about alignment. About creating visuals that feel coherent, honest, and lived-in, rather than forced or overly polished.

Most of my clients tell me they don’t feel naturally comfortable in front of a camera. That’s completely okay. My approach is always gentle and collaborative, creating an experience that feels relaxed and supportive. When people feel at ease, the images naturally follow.

A Brand That Feels Like Home

Estelle’s final gallery is a reflection of who she truly is: professional yet warm, grounded yet vibrant, structured yet soft.

It shows that branding photography doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. Sometimes, the most impactful images are the ones that leave room to breathe.

And that, to me, is the real art of simplifying.

If this approach to branding photography resonates with you and your way of doing business, you’re always welcome to reach out - I’d love to hear your story and explore how we could create something thoughtful together.
